Kristan began his basketball journey with NWEBC when he was just 9 years old. The first tournament was his first time playing three games in a row on a full sized court with regulation height hoops. By the end of the day, he was absolutely exhausted! I honestly thought he might quit. But to my surprise, he finished the day wanting to get better and build his stamina. Thanks to the support of incredible Coaches and his fellow athletes. He has continued to grow and challenge himself. He especially looks up to the older athletes in the club, they’ve been great role models, inspiring him to push harder and stay focused. I know he’s still got a long way to go, but he’s already come so far from where he started. What I appreciate most about NWEBC is its commitment to developing athletes not just in skills, but in character. At a young age, Kristan once said, “Wherever this basketball journey takes me, I will always be proud to say that I started with NWEBC.” That says it all.
